FAQ
We have attempted to include questions you might have about our services. If we missed your question, please let us know. We are gradually updating this section but encountering a few formatting hiccups.

  • What payment methods will be accepted for the new services?

GENERAL QUESTIONS

A: FAQ is an acronym for "frequently asked questions."

Q: Do you accept credit or check cards?
A:
Not at this time. As we wish to keep your information (and ours) as secure as possible we have opted to accept cash, personal/business checks, money orders or cashier's checks as our preferred form of payment. Please do not use cash if you are mailing us a payment.

We are preparing to accept PayPal for select projects. Our flyers will note if a service is eligible for payment via PayPal as well as within the related pages of our site. Once PayPal details have been finalized these will also be listed on this page. Occasionally order forms for a particular project will include a PayPal option. In that case the only reference to PayPal will be on that specific form.

Q: What is your privacy policy?
A:
No information is shared with other parties unless you have requested information that can only be provided by RonArt Associates Recordings. RonArt has the same non-release policy. Any information collected by RonArt and/or La Cherche is only used to process and follow up on your particular requests. Your information will not be sold to any third party.

However, if you follow a link that leads you away from this site, we cannot control the privacy policies of the organization in question. Please read the organization's privacy policy before you provide personal information. We make every effort to provide links only to organizations with strict privacy rules.

Q: What is the best way to contact you?
A: You can always call us at the phone number which appears on our home page or contact page. E-mail is perhaps the most efficient way to communicate complex questions or request an appointment. If you do not hear from us within 2 business days, please contact us again - occasionally messages do get missed.

Q: Will you be posting other useful information in the FAQ?
A: Yes, other useful information will be posted once it is formatted.

Q: What types of information will you be posting?
A: We will post information about community organizations and events, as well as links to businesses we have found responsive to our own requests for information.

VIDEO SERIVCES

Q: How long does it take to process a recording?
A: For video, we generally allow 8-10 weeks to process and mail a recording. This can take longer during heavy recording periods or when things go wrong at the worst possible time. Delays can also occur when our suppliers have critical materials on backorder at the wrong time for us.

A: Generally we ship via First Class mail. While this should take 2-3 days locally, we have seen some mailings take 2-3 weeks locally and 2-3 days to go over a thousand miles. On some occasions we do make arrangements with the client organization for picking up your finished DVD from them.

Q: Do you take time out from editing or other processes?
A: Yes, we do take time out. We do this particularly after a heavy recording period. Without a break, it is very easy to make errors in the editing process or send someone the wrong recording. While it adds to the production time, we feel it is important to take this time to re-charge our own batteries after a particularly hectic period.

Q: Why does it take so long to process orders?
A:
La Cherche is more than a video company. We do have clients on the desktop publishing side with deadlines that must be met. While we strive for minimal turn around time, we deliberately build in time to allow for snail mail to arrive at its destination, other deadlines and those things that inevitably go wrong at the worst possible time.

SERVICES FROM RonArt ASSOCIATES RECORDINGS

Q: How long is the turnaround for audio recordings from RonArt Associates?
A:
Generally, allow 4-6 weeks for processing, although it can take less time. Turn around time is effected by how busy RonArt is at any given time. Like La Cherche time out is taken after particularly busy periods to rest and take care of other work that needs to be completed.

Q: How are the finished CDs shipped?
A:
The CDs are shipped via first class mail. While this should take 2-3 days locally, some mailings have taken 2-3 weeks locally and 2-3 days to go over a thousand miles.

NEW COMPUTER  & OTHER SERIVCES

Q: How will you be billing the new computer services?

A: These will be billed on an hourly basis for the labor, plus the cost of any parts or software and any related shipping costs. If we need to outsource any portion of the work, you will be billed at the rate charged by the outside provider. We will have the provider give us a receipt or invoice for those services. You will also be provided with a referral to an outside provider if the repair or service you need has special requirements we are unable to offer at this time. This is particularly true of delicate laptop repairs.

Q: What payment methods will be accepted for your new services?
A: As with all of our other services, we will accept cash, check, money order or cashier's check. Some of our new services will also be eligible for payment via PayPal once we have all the details worked out. The eligible services will be noted on the page discussing them and in this section.
