The newest addition to the services we offer is not a multimedia service. After careful consideration, we have decided to offer limited computer repair and upgrade services. Initially, we will limit hardware services to desktop computers or helping you persuade your desktop and family laptops to "play nicely". If software installation seems beyond your patience, we can help you with that on any computer.

 

For "Star Wars" fans our technician also offers custom built light sabers and daggers. Information about the styles of custom light sabers available is provided upon request.

Pricing

 

COMPUTERS

For computer services, we charge an hourly labor fee. If we are providing any parts or software, you will be charged for these also. All parts and software costs and related shipping must be paid in advance. You will be billed for the labor once the work is completed.

 

We will do our best to obtain the parts and software you select at the lowest price currently available. Since prices do fluctuate it is generally recommended that we order the parts and software as soon as we agree upon what is needed to accomplish your repair or upgrade.

 

You will be provided with an estimate of your total costs before any parts or software are ordered.

 

LIGHT SABERS AND DAGGERS

In making custom light sabers and daggers, the parts price will depend on the electronic features and hilt design you choose. Once you have chosen the features and design you like, you will be given the cost of parts for that design. No parts will be ordered until you make your final decision regarding features and hilt design. Also, we must receive payment for your parts plus their shipping before we can order them.

 

Please note that if you select a hilt that includes a sink tube section, there is an automatic $50 charge added to the cost of the light saber which includes the cost of the sink tube. We must charge this because we outsource the shaping of the tube. This is due with your parts payment as the tube will be purchased locally and, when possible, shaped while we wait to receive the balance of your parts from our other vendors.

 

The labor charge for building your saber or dagger is based on the amount of work involved in achieving the design you select and installing the electronic components. The hourly rate for the simplest light sabers and daggers is $30 per hour. However, we reserve the right to charge a flat labor charge for the most complex versions. We will give you an estimate of the labor costs or the flat fee before you order.

 

You will receive the bill for labor before the delivery of the light saber. This must be paid upon delivery of the finished saber. If you are having the light saber shipped rather than hand delivered, we must receive payment for labor prior to shipping.

 

When a saber or dagger is shipped rather than hand delivered, you will receive a bill for the actual shipping costs to the destination address you provide. We will insure the package and request confirmation of delivery. Shipping and insurance costs are payable within 10 days of delivery.

 

For light sabers and daggers ONLY you will be offered the option of making your payments via PayPal. If you choose this option, you will be provided with additional instructions via e-mail.
